Empowering our senior community to advocate for a healthier, more sustainable future
At the South Ward Environmental Alliance (SWEA), our seniors are at the heart of our community efforts. Under the leadership of Jim “Coach” Young, our Senior Organizer and Chief Hospitality Officer, this dynamic group brings energy, wisdom, and passion to every SWEA initiative. Our seniors actively participate in SWEA events, from environmental justice advocacy to community cleanups and workshops. Beyond attending events, they take the lead in organizing activities that foster engagement, education, and connection.
